watch the music video for the war on drugs’ “under the pressure”

lost in the dream may very well be one of this year’s finest releases, and its opening number, “under the pressure,” sets the tone.  the song’s grandiose guitar licks, piano progressions, and straight-ahead drumming foreshadow adam granduciel’s endless homages to 1980s heros like bruce springsteen and tom petty.  “under the pressure” has been privileged with a music video, one that features individual shots of band members performing in an abandoned house that looks aesthetically similar to the still shot on the album’s cover.  revisit the song and watch the video below.
